Who is
James Kleeburg

I'm exploring everything. I'm learning, teaching, iterating and inventing and have fully given into my curiosity.
I design digital things from glyph sets to enterprise software. I make art with my hands. I like building things in the woodshop, sewing, and I've been learning how to make perfume for a couple years.
I collect records when I travel that I share with my friends at big dinner parties and I'm designing speakers and learning about electrical engineering.
Before all this I was a professional chef for almost ten years, where I got to work all over in some of the best restaurants in the world. I made ice cream and cooked rare meats on a wood fire and ate a lot of crazy delicious fruits.
Before I was a chef, I was a little kid. I was the exact same way then. Before I got curious, I was a baby, or so I'm told. You'd have to ask my mom.
I live in Seattle where I have lived on and off since 2015. I graduated at the top of my class in 2020 with a BFA in studio art, but with an emphasis in UX design, and I mentor younger designers and chefs alike because I, too, am only a product of others generosity with their time.
